Britain celebrate first-ever Olympic gold on snow after snowboard win
Great Britain celebrated their first-ever Winter Olympics gold on snow on Sunday after Charlotte Bankes and Huw Nightingale teamed up to take gold in the mixed team snowboard cross.
Italy's Michela Moioli and Lorenzo Sommariva claimed silver for the home nation, while France's Loan Bozzolo and Lea Casta completed the podium with bronze.
Bankes made up for the disappointment of being unable to progress beyond the quarter-finals in the women's event in Livigno for the second consecutive Games in a row.
It is also the first time that Team GB have won two gold medals at a single Winter Games.
"It's fine margins. Even for us individuals, it's really fine margins," said Bankes. "To actually pull it off, that's what I'm proud of, to be able to do it in a team event.
"It's Team GB that's Olympic champion, and that's for all the support we get.
"Hopefully it means everybody can go out and enjoy themselves and take that little bit of pressure off them and go give their best. I don't doubt that there will be more medals coming."
